I thought invisible asterisk translates as "Fans and journalists assign judgement of questionable validity."

Speaking of 'picking', are we going to have an official start of series prediction list? To be visited at end of season?

OK, I'll go first (and probably regret it)
1- Pedrosa.......he is hungry and hears MM's footsteps 2- JLo........because VR and MM take some points from him 3- Marquez.....I am out on thin ice here but youth will take more chances than older guys. If they are well calculated chances- he will out-point #46. If not I see some offroad excursions 4-Rossi.....some podiums but the 3 ahead of him WANT it and beating VR is the carrot. 5-Crutchlow 6+ everyone else Who knows- probably invert my first 4 and that will be more accurate

yeah, I think we could throw a blanket over J Lo and Pedrosa, gonna be close. Rossi and MM, even though going good at the test, are still an unknown as yet, I believe both will get podiums, but not sure about their consistency, but I do believe they will be 3rd and 4th. after that I'd say a toss-up between Bradl and Crutchlow. I just hope everyone stays healthy!
is anyone else racing?

Right after posting that, the injury wildcard did cross my mind. But maybe this will be a year where there are few if any race-missing boo-boos and the final standings will reflect true points accumulation.
We can only hope...... |

I'm going to go with,
1. J Lo, he has this thing wired. 2. Pedrosa, seven dresses... 3. Rossi, everything to prove to himself. Could be close second even. 4. Marquez, youth and enthusiasm won't win the day over and age, experience and treachery. Crutchlow, and the rest. The Ducs will continue to orbit in tenth just ahead of the CRT's. Sadly Colin's experiment with the Kawasaki at FTR will prove to be another building year. First year again. I have a hard time seeing CRT's as anything more than backmarkers. I see zero point in racing a bike you absolutely know won't see the front other than when it goes past them. That holds for Ducati and Suzuki when they join in. I do think we're in for some good racing at the front. We have four men on nearly equal machines all at or near the top of their game.

1. Pedrosa (it will be his year)
2. Rossi (consistent and a few wins) 3. J-Lo (just have a feeling of a few DNF's, hope not though) 4. M-M (youth will cause a handful of crashes early on, by then end of the year he will be winning more than anyone else) 5. Bradl (Crutchlow will beat him often, but crash enough. Bradl will be consistent with 4th and 5ths all year. )
