Zumo came back today.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,Last Saturday I was working out of town and thought I would take the zumo along. Finished the day and unloaded the service truck. I remembered taking an armload of stuff to my truck, making several trips. Got home and unloaded stuff into the house. Nice day so the wife and I fired up the bikes and went for a ride. Got home and couldnt find the Zumo. I thought I had left it on the couch. Searched the house and truck, Drove back to shop twice to look for it. Nothing. Crap this is bad. Several days go by with no luck, Guys at the shop all keep an eye out for it.
I put an add in Craigslist and the local paper, Reward and no questions asked. 2 more days go by, I have been looking at them on e-bay. Way to much for used ones. Talk to garmin no luck there.
Today my phone rings and a fellow says his wife found a gps. Can I ID it. I describe the start up screen pictures and give him the serial number. Says thats it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meet him in 10 at the gas station and I can have it back. He dosent want the reward just said he was sorry it took him 2 days to call after seeing my add.
Thanks Terry you are my buddy for life.

It was in the soft case and has a crack in the face cover, Was run over at least once. Working fine though. Screen is perfect.

Had something like that happen once on I94 east of St Paul. Small box goes flying out from a vehicle ahead in BTB traffic and lands on the shoulder. I stopped to pick it up realizing it was a GPS unit. We went to our friend's house in Stillwater and I powered it up and started exploring.

Found the "home" waypoint and did a reverse search on the house. Turns out that it wasn't thrown by an angered driver, it fell out of the lap of a MC rider from Red Wing. He had been at Regions Med Center visiting a dying sister and it fell out of his lap not realizing it was gone.

He arranged to pick it up at my mom's place northeast a couple of days later. Happy to keep the love flowing.

Glad it worked out for you but why would you even call Garmin for a GPS unit you lost?
