Looks like a decent day out.
I'll most likely meet the group out at Picton for the 10am mark then.

cheers
Matty...

Picton meet time 10.00am, carpark in Mary Mackillop Lane, walk across the grass area towards the main street and you will find the coffee shop on the left next to the big tree [not out on the main street].
Link shows where the carpark is in relation to the main street, I figure most of you can work it out in relation to where you are coming from.

Here is what the coffee shop looks like from the front, it is where the tables are located next to the big tree- carpark is visible behind to the left of the tree.

A second meet point will be at Brewsters Coffee shop in Bowral around 11.00am

Brewsters,

on Bowral road in Mittagong.

Update.

The ride is still on........but I'm out, sorry [just got asked to cover tomorrow for a driver who has come down sick so I can't let the old people sit at home doing nothing ].

Glen [TheColonel] has a GPS and maps and will lead-more or less- with the assistance of any of you who have "local knowledge".

As you all know, I've been planning this ride for over a week now [months in fact, from the original idea].

I know you blokes will all sort it out and have a great ride.

Looks like there will be five or six of you on assorted brands of bikes.

When I get the chance I will do the ride at some stage in the future.

Cheers,
Ock.

Thanks for the pics and report Don.

Sorry to all that I couldn't make it due to covering for another driver who was sick.

I was unwell last night and worse this morning but still did the run.

A couple of the clients were vocal about me being unwell and that I shouldn't have been driving them.
I said if it wasn't for me they wouldn't have had a driver at all for the day, one old biddy said she didn't "give a shit" and that I still shouldn't be there....ungrateful old b!tch

I sat outside the hall all day [so I minimised any chance of passing on my bug, but I got it one of the other oldies in the first place] watching the bikes go back and forth along Wiseman's Ferry road through South Maroota, sweeping curves and a great bit of road.....talk about rub salt in to the wounds.

Now I'm running a fever of 38.4 and have had to get someone else to cover my run tomorrow, guess I'm spending the weekend housebound or in bed.

I'm glad you all had a good day, I will check the other forum to see if someone posted more pics and a report there as well.

When I get a chance I will attempt to do the ride myself sometime.

And into the forest we went.

Sorry you couldn't make it in the end Ock.

There was a few bikes at Picton we headed out some back roads then had to do some freeway tar to get into the forest.

This was a nice little mid point somewhere on a trail.

The three of us who made it to the forest and back out again.

Pete wondering what the hell the bloke with the little digi clicker is doing running around snapping away.

Before the "Go Pro incident" thanks guys for helping in the search.

And the offending Go Pro with snapped mount.

Good pics Matty.

Now I will have to reschedule the ride for a day when I can actually make it.

Glad you all had a good day.

Next time I have a ride planned and I'm asked to work I'm going to say "no f**k'n way!"

Lucky you found the AWOL GoPro, be a bugger to lose it permanently [maybe they should have some sort of tether to avoid losing them].

Well I didnt get to meet up, but still had a day out.

I waited at Brewsters Mittagong till 11.15am and then headed off toward Belanglo, the other side of Mossvale I saw a rider on the side of the road so I turned around to make sure all was okay.

Turns out to be Lisa from 2ridetheworld, and doesnt she love a chat. After half an hour I headed off in search of the group, you dont realise how big a forsest can be until you start trying to find someone.

Came across some tire tracks that must have been made by the strom, followed them for a while and did a bit of exploration, but scared and then decided to head home. This place would be great with company, great fire trails, and i believe there is a shitload of single as well.

On the way out came across another wayward bird, wtf?

Sorry you missed the group Truss, but at least you still got a ride in- better than what I did.

Now I'm sitting at home sick as a dog and running a fever cruising the forums for ride reports to see what I missed out on.

I will post up do do the ride [or very similar] when I get the chance.

Ock.

Trussell..................SHIT, sorry we missed you, as I said (in my message) we had no idea you were coming unfortunately. I missed your message ....... again apologies mate.

Had a great ride guys...a few "oh shit" moments.... but we found the camera Matty unfortunately lost, so all ended up good.
Oh and that traffic on the M5 is unbelievable... lucky we left Belanglo at 2:30pm....because I made it to work(Willoughby) at 4:55pm.
