....and I started my bubbled decal replacement with the carbon fiber...But I had to take it for a ride on a 55 deg day in Missouri!

Only did around 60 miles on it, but so far it is as advertised! James and Sonia are super people to work with...It's like I told the SO...There is a reason there is a 6 mo wait!

Well, I almost gave up on this project. It was so hard to cut 13 gauge stainless.

I thought about cleaning this up and painting it black. Then, I decided that I liked the roughed up look.

Good enough.

It was finally my turn. So I ordered my Side Stand Removal Switch for my 990.

My Big Orange is apparently mad at me for spending so much time with the latest addition to the stable, Ginger the 690R.
The o-ring for the gear position switch has developed a leak. Not a standard size.
I guess I'll be ordering in some tomorrow.

I found an o-ring in my harbor freight metric o-ring set that has been in there leak free for the last few years. I think it was a little smaller but thicker than stock, it fits a hair more tightly.

I've got both othe HF metric sets. Do recall which o-ring you used? The thicker ones looked too thick to me.
I may try again today. After pulling it off to inspect it is leaking even worse.

Stock size is 27.5mm x 2.5mm

The stock o-ring is under $0.35 each from Munn. I'll get some coming today. The original lasted over 25000 miles.

Sorry, it's been a few years and I just found something that created a nice seal as it went in.

Mcmaster has great prices on o-rings, and the nice thing is they should be on your doorstep by wednesday.
