insurance explantion/rationale

Thanks to the EU for the insurance hassles. An EU bike must be insured in its country of registration by an insurance company that's authorized to write insurance in that country. That's part of the regulations - when you register a bike in the UK (or IE, FR, etc.), you must be insured by a UK (IE, FR, etc) authorized insurer. Sort of like US insurance is good in the USA, but not in Mexico or European countries.The lawyers have us by the you-know-whats.....
