Does yours use a bolt and washer, or a big nut and splined washer? Mine is nut and washer, which I have spare. Bolt and lock washer, we can probably source @ a hardware store. Or.... Call Chip @ Munns.

Thanks again for the info on Cheaha. The wife and I went up camping and hiking and got back last night.
If you can stand it being chilly it's a great time of year to go up since we practically had the campground to ourselves. It's a great spot and I can see how it would get busy in summer. |

Just a Reminder
Just a reminder about my 3rd annual Camp N Ride coming up March 8th-10
If you have heard stories about my singletrack but have never been over to ride it, You need to make it to this event. There is a very high chance that I will be clear cutting all my timber after this year's camp out. It will be a very long time before they are like what they are now. ![]() ![]() ![]() Just ordered the course arrows & tape ![]() I'm currently making changes to the DS ride loops. So plan on seeing some new scenery along the way. Here is this year's thread http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=844960

no kidding but that costs extra lol. the original oil leak was caused when a korean mechanic installed the site glass with foreign material that actually ate the seal and started to leak. so that part i actually fixed. but i torqed the front sprocket to proper specs maybe need stronger loctite or less oil spraying all over it??? you are welcome to come over and expertise some stuff.

turns out the sprocket seal looks almost brand new. the orange oring looks worn. the oring sits basically in this spacer that goes over the spline. what is supposed to hold the spacer from slidding out from the seal? the sprocket or is the seal supposed to hold the spacer on? i can push the spacer back on and the seal does hold the spacer somewhat. i started the engine without the sprocket one to see how bad it leaked and it seemed if i pushed agaisnt the spacer it really didnt leak. so i am guessing i just need a new orange oring and when i put the sprocket back on the nut will hold it altogether??? sorry i cant post pics or i would upload one...

The sprocket should be good then, the rubber dampners are the new ones designed for the 690.I do have a spare nut/washer and I found an orange O-ring. Let me know if I can help out. By the way, what torque are you using? It can get confusing, the bolt torque is much lower than the nut. With the washer bent over it should never fall off, loosen maybe, but not fall off.
