wr250r and XT225

I have a 2000 and a 2008 as well, and it appears I'm not the only one! Curious as to why people have decided to keep both...

Are those polished fork legs on the XT? They look super shiny!

We have a WRR and XT also. The XT is hers although we are looking hard at the new CRF250L for her also.

Looking for a an XT 225 tool box cover (rubber door that closes over factory tool tube). No idea how she managed to lose it in a crash but she did. They are available OEM of course but if someone has an extra they'd like to part with for a few bucks......

Someone on xt225.com has been parting out an 06. Check with him in the for sale section of the forum. I bought a few things from him.

This may be a perfect time to replace the factory tool tube with a tool tube from Agrisupply. I put one on Lisa's xt, made up a bracket to hold it from some aluminum plate. If you have questions or need pictures pm me.

Exactly what I was thinking. I just wish their shipping wasn't so high.

This is in the works but the placement is too perfect to replace the oem. The "new" tool tube will be mounted on the rack itself.

I had an xt and sold it when I got my wr- I like the wr- but it is heavier and taller than the xt (even after lowering the wr 5 inches)-the wr has quite a bit more power on the pavement, but when we get on the trails I decided I liked the lighter bike- so I bought another xt. Since I can't ride it just yet due to snow and cold, I am doing some major mods on it.
I am planning to keep both bikes but use the xt for the more technical riding- the plan is for it to see very little pavement.
Hey, can you ever have too many bikes?

Same reason I held onto my XT as well, I just haven't had a chance to ride the wr in the dirt yet, which is currently snowed under. I'll probably license it here in a month or two. I never feel too bad after a winter road ride when road salt starts to rust exposed metal on the xt either, as at this point it owes me nothing.
