Would anyone have an extra .018 drill bit they would like to sell? I would like to drill out my starter jet. I have searched all over town with no luck.

Do you have any hobby stores in town. That's where I got mine. $2 for two bits.

It has been a while since my last post. I know a guy renting KLX150 in Kuching Khairul aka Burung 0103892031 / 0168514814. He is a friend of mine, just mention my name he might give you a discount.

Are you planning to go to Bario?

But a 450 would have more torque and ability to pull taller gearing. So, for me, means a better travel bike. MC business in the USA is picking up some so perhaps more OEM's will seek to expand their Dual Sport offerings?

BMW just had their BEST YEAR EVER ... much of that success from dual sport/adventure bike sales: R12GS, 800GS, Sertao, G650GS ... and of course the Husky Terra and Strada. (now sold to KTM/Bajaj)

Both Kawasaki and Suzuki have recently had decent turn over on the KLR and DR650, despite a terrible economy which is still in recovery ... but could fall off the cliff again. Real dirt bike sales are STILL in the toilet, and IMO, won't recover anytime soon. Dual sport is the way forward but the old tired offerings are not going to cut it. (KLR, DR650, XR650L, DRZ400S)
KLX450 is KXF450 with lighting & blinkers for road worthiness. It is a powerful bike and weighs less than my KLX250S but unsure the difference. I rode my friend's bike and it is far, far powerful and I can confirm that it is not a detuned version.

Klx 450

I have a KLX 250SF that I would swap out for that KLX450 ANY DAY! If anyone has one here in Thailand that they hate and want to get rid of....I'll get in line.

You guys don't have the 450 in Thailand? If I was in Thailand I'd probably be riding around on a CR250CRM. Longevity of the KLX250, 35 lbs less, 50% more power and the suspension of well... a CR!

They have the 450 here but it's the off-road only version and you don't get a green book with it so no license plate (legal one that is). I probably would have gone with the CR but I couldn't find a second hand one at a decent price. The Honda Dream 100 wasn't really cutting it for me so picked up my first Kawasaki. Also, I plan on taking some long trips and think maybe the KLX is a little better suited...I guess I'll find out!
