Attention Winston-Salem, NC off roaders

My youngest son and I headed up Friday afternoon for the 1st time, it was 60 degrees about 2pm.
It was a little slick but there's some good trails there.

That crossing is about 1000 yards from the parking area. When I saw some of the more technical spots, I was wishing I was riding my sons much lighter 250!

I'll let you know next time, I've got to either wait for dry weather or get rid of the deathwings cause in the slightest bit of mud or dampness the front wants to washout and low side or if I slow down it'll bog down and sink in the mud. I've heard there are some trails or at least dirt roads off of the BRP North of Pipers Gap Rd. May do some exploring there or that secret 13 creek crossing road you told me about.

Rode AAA Farms today. Pretty neat place. Two-way trails are a little sketchy and finding your way around with no maps or trail numbers is a guessing game, but overall cool place. Couple of sort-of challenging hill climbs due to how muddy it was today. I think the guy is playing with fire not having waivers, as it's 90%, fairly open, high-speed double track, but perhaps he's got it figured out. I'll gladly pay the extra $10 and drive an extra 30 mins for Brushy 9 times out of 10 but still had a fun time.

Did you ride there with the Hooligans? We had a small group go yesterday.

So what's the scoop on this place? Open to the public with $10 donation? 7 days a week?

I grew up in WS, is this out south of Yadkinville? Might bring a bike when I visit next time...


Also, no offense to 4-wheelers, but are there a lot of them? Bad enough meeting a bike in a blind turn, but I wouldn't want to meet a 4-wheeler...

It's right off of exit 259 on 421 in Yadkinville, there are alot 4 wheelers out there.

Not really a donation, the owner will come up to you as soon as you pull in with his hand out , which is fine, but whatever. Yes lots of 4 wheelers, I would say 5:1, and two way trails, I see some insurance/lawsuit issues in the near future.

And he calls it a "donation" to avoid some of the liability issues. Like a tip jar, he can probably get away with a lot more with the IRS too...

I can't really knock the old man for trying to make some cash, I think he calls it donations so he won't get sued incase of something. I hope nothing bad happens cause some of the other places around here now want you to become a member and all this other horseshit and this guy seems to have more trails than the other places around here.

That's Ron Awad (NCHSA A-rider) and Andy Parker (VXCS-B) trying their luck at keeping up Russell Bobbit. Saw that vid the other day. Ron posts the vids from most every race he runs. Where'd you come accross it? Are you a fellow NCHSA guy?
