They were correct. Last week I was notified these are definitely NOT happening for the intended arrival date, which was next month. Same for the ADV Air, Gore Overshell, and one of the womens jackets. Apparently, the production was completed or was near completion, but there was some details that did not meet Klim's specs. A complete cancellation means they were probably pretty serious.

We called all our customers and let them know last week.

Gore's lead time on raw fabric is notoriously long, and their production lead times are also lengthy. These combined probably pushed out replacement to the point where they just punted them to 2014.

Most everything else is still coming either 3/1 or 4/1.

Bummer to hear that their production wasn't up to the quality standards but this jives with what the rep at Klim told me.

Nice to see Klim quality control doing its work :-) I'm very satisfied with their warranty followup and like what I see here.

Agreed. Ironic detail.....some of the fabric for these comes from near you, in Sevelen...

Haha oh dear, I promise I didn't have anything to do with it!

Looking for options now, and it seems to be the badlands.. would you chime in on this thread if you have a moment? I figure you would be the people in the know about information on changes to the badlands pro.

It's such a shame. I was really looking forward to Adventure II, it resolves (or would, IF they would make the damn thing) all of the minor issues I've had with the Adventure and the Badlands and combines the best features of both. I had my money ready to send . . .

Hello Bastimentos.

Until they are in my hands I cannot be 100% certain, but my understanding is that the Badlands is not getting any changes to armor or pattern. Either would be a fairly significant change, and the style # is same year>
Checking now, will confirm shortly.

Klim has a stellar warranty followup. The first Adventure Rally Suit series of 2010 had some issues ( Gore-Lockout failures, outer shell fluffing up on outer fabric etc. ), but their followup is legendary well.

This goes to show their impeccable quality control.
Their gear lineup is fabricated in China - so there must be strict standards and specifications at large here. Surely not an easy logistical chain of fabrics and quality control overseas here.
