Well, I've been MIA for a bit since the school semester started which is kicking my ass so feel free to add things as you see fit. I'll be moving in about 3-4 weeks so the site will be off-line for a day or two, but I'll post up when that'll happen.

I'm moving a week from tomorrow so the website will be down for 2-3 days.

On a positive note it's getting warmer

Hmm, perhaps not require the captcha for logged in accounts? Makes revision cycles real slow.

Unfortunately it's an all or nothing from what I read. Though, the captcha is being defeated by some bots so I'm looking at alternatives.

And awesome work on the tool list!

I am planning on purchasing a 690 Enduro in the near future and came across this thread with the 690 Wiki. To everyone that has contributed to the Wiki, I want to say thank you and great job.

Wiki's about to go down for the server move. It may be offline for a few days.

Wiki is back up. However the new landlord/owner of the house's router box needs updates to fill a few security holes. It should all be squared away in another day or two.

Thanks for the patience.

A better torx T-20, T-25, and T-45 would be nice. The ones that come in the kit will do the job but it'll take longer than I like to spend unscrewing something.

I'll get the vector computer added in a bit. Tonight I posted up a shock spring replacement and added pics and a mini-review of the Wolfman side and top racks.

TMM - new to this Wiki thing. I've got a mix of the Touratech rack, Wolfman waterproofs and Kriega US drysacks for my 2012 690ER that works pretty well. I chose the Touratech rack over the Wolfman because of the truss design. It's not obvious to me how to post, once I get set up. Is it obivous after that?

Generally if you just want to add text you can just hit the edit button at the top of the page you want to add text to.

To create a new page go to the page you want the link to be on and edit it. Next, add the name of the new page in double brackets.

[[New Page Name Here]]

Then save the edited page which will take you back to that page (with the new edited link) the new link appears in red. To create that page just click the link and that'll take you to edit the new page; and so on and so fourth.

If you want to add pictures you'll have to create an account by clicking the create account button in the upper right corner; after you create an account (and you don't need to put an email in fyi) there'll be an upload file button on the left side. To add pictures into a wiki page simply use the wikicode: [[File:Somefilenamehere.jpg]]. If you upload the pictures first make sure the "Somefilenamehere.jpg" is exactly the filename for what you uploaded.

What I highly recommend for pictures is putting the wiki page together without uploading the pictures first. Then when you save the edited page with say three pictures for example since pictures with those filenames don't exist on the wiki yet you can click on the picture links (which will appear in red) which will then take you to the upload page with the filename filled in automatically.

Example:
[[File:Somefilenamehere1.jpg]]

[[File:Somefilenamehere2.jpg]]

[[File:Somefilenamehere3.jpg]]

It sounds kind of confusing but after you do it once or twice it's not a big deal.

Here's a couple videos:
