We can ask Sjaak more detail when he returns. If you look at the earlier vids, you'll see the one where they vulcanize the tire tread onto the carcass.

Yep, noticed that after some more digging. Made for a nice piece. Would still be interested to know what they started with. Same video shows them using a 16" rim (I knew they looked smaller!).
