Now, if I can get my wife to try it. Question for anyone still following this thread - you think an XT225 would be a good first bike for her? She's 5'4", and has only ridden quads. Like it to be a bike she can grow into, and that she won't grow out of for a long time.

Oh she can ride, but not the GS! She makes me go vroom-vroom.

She used to ride when she lived in Bermuda. 70 cc Malaguti Centro.

Here's my duo. She almost didn't date me because I had a motorcycle, now she's looking into getting her license.
....which is a little worrisome, not too many women are tall enough to ride a GSA. So I worry once she has a license she'll wanna try riding my bike.... :-)

I think it would be perfect.

Yep, good starter bike. We got a DR200 for my daughter who is about that tall and my wife 5' 6", is learning to ride it also. XT250 and Super Sherpa are similar sizes too.

Hope she learns to ride.

The XT225 is a bike she won't grow out of soon. The XT250 is much better. My wife's been riding for over 40 years and still has a XT250 in her fleet. She had a DR200 before that and a XT225 before that. The XT225 is fine the DR200 is the most powerless thing she had ever riden.
