Full on sun today...!

Man its friggin beautiful out even if it is only 24. Loving the longer days too. I'm getting a crazy notion to load up the bike, put on a bunch of warmth and ride south to warmer clime's and roads.

This looks tempting too. I can't swing it this year, but maybe next. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=854031

One LONG Effin winter!

I messed with the rear suspension on my new R. Now I want to take it for a ride to see how it handles before I do the front.
One thing at a time......

I may not have the strength. "Old" and "Weak" and "Everything hurts" has decided to camp in at an early age.

Say it isn't so, Dave!

I may be going to look at something in a shade of Orange that I should be able to ride legally up on Tug Hill this year.
Would be a good excuse to take the misses and the little one up to visit her mom and have the bike in tow for some riding...

Having observed the patented XR650L Dave method of delimbing a forest at 40mph using your chest, forearms, and helmet...

I'm not surprised.

While I'm complaining, my close-in vision is shot, I'm ready for bifocals, and I have to take it easy on the hot sauce.

Would that be a full dual-sport or just an atv-plate-capable?

I have found some other cool stuff, not difficult, just nice and hilly 2-track type stuff.

I'm looking at something that will hopefully attain the blue-letter plate in NY.
Crossing fingers though. Should this one not fly through, I'll register it out of state and be done with it.

**Update** I bought it. 2008 KTM 200 XC-W.
Going to the DMV on 2/22 to transfer title to my name.
Have already contacted Sicass regarding a lighting setup to make things kosher for NY rules.
**Update#2** Success!

Anybody else getting sick of all this white stuff?

Last night around 10PM or so I think we made the transition from a metric ass-load of snow to a fook-load of snow.

I even had to shovel my deck for the second time this season. I use a "Casper gauge" as an index; when the cat stands up on his hind legs at the glass door and still can't see over the snow, it's time.

OK, I was going to make a call, but maybe you guys could tell me. How deep might the snow be around Schroon Lake? Thinking of going up in two weekends but the road to the trailer isn't plowed and I would be in a Forester, so too deep and it isn't going anywhere.
