My brother & I bought out the remaining inventory from a small motorcycle/ATV repair shop. We have a bunch of new Parts.. Boxes of snowmobile belts, motorcycle tubes, riding gear (motorcycle & snowmobile) snowmobile carbide wear runners and slide rails. If anybody is interested in buying anything, PM me. we plan on putting it on Ebay over the weekend. :)

I'm doing some fix up and improvements on the Florida house. I have the usual tools, but saw the new RotoZip and Dremel Saw-Max at Lowes. Has anyone used them or have opinions? One particular use that I am considering is small cuts in Asbestos Shingles, which are very brittle and easy to break.
Second question related to the shingles is: has anyone used the new GAF cement shingles that have replaced the outlawed asbestos ones? Comments? Thanks, Bluepill - Retired but still working.

rotozips are great for cutting boxes into sheet rock. mark the center on the rock then scew it on. comeback with teh rotozip plunge into the box. cut to the inside edge, lift ond then run the outside edge, takes a lil gettin used to. only shigle i been using is the gaf timberline series. Which is now offering lifetime warranty. I also use the gaf deck armor instead of tar paper. Are you talking about siding or roof shingles? or old people it burns shingles?

This is not osha approved and will result in lots of dust ![]() A 4" angle grinder with a thin cut off wheel will work but if you are doing more than a couple of cuts get a diamond blade for it. I haven't used the dremel saw but it would probably work just as good. I haven't used the new gaf shingles they are a little pricey but your only other alternative would be to find some old asbestos ones in somebody's garage. |
