scouting for our saturday ride

went out today and found some nice gravel roads to add in saturdays route. they look a bit deer campish but I didn't go through any gates or around any barriers, so we'll see. Looks like a good sized loop around Cyrstal Springs, Hazelhurst ending at Cyrstal Springs in the P.m.

Wish I could make it. I've found that riding every weekend isn't in the cards any more.

But your alternative is very worth it! I pretty much never had time for "me stuff" from 1991 until 2009, when I bought my KLR. And even then y'all saw what a fight I had... But it is all worth it. Every. Minute.

I like Sumrall Rd. -> Colonel Neill -> Jack Rd... That was part of our "Oh, Brother " loop to the store in Dentville.

I got a new Wolfman Expedition Dry Duffel bag for my birthday so I decided to test it out today. I loaded it up and strapped it to my rear rack and it did great. I decided to stop at the McDonalds on the spillway to get some food to take home, and while I was in there I kept getting funny looks from people while my rain gear dripped on the floor. Finally a guy comes up to me sporting a sweater vest, golf shit, and dark slacks and says "Surely you aren't on a motorcycle". I said "Yep, I ride just about every day regardless of the weather." He said "I ride a Harley and I wouldn't dream of riding in weather like this. You must be a real biker." He then looks out the window at my Honda and asked me if it was a BMW! I said no, and told him I was just a lowly commoner and couldn't afford one. We talked for a few more minutes before he left. When he pulled out of the parking lot in his Mercedes I noticed the license plate said "POSER".

3 KLRs a DS a Buell and a Montana mountain pass

We explore a mountain pass in Montana. We are riding KLRs a DS and a Buell. We soon discover the trail is more dirt bike than our dual sport bikes want.
