jk.. nice shot.. how long after sunset was it? edit: I'm also curious to know what you were using for settings/lens since I just remembered that the moon was a sliver of a crescent when I was driving home this evening.. In your photo it looks like a full moon but there are no star trails..

When was that taken? The moon hasn't been full for 10 days or so. Does a time lpse make it look full?

Sunset was at 6:47 PM, pic was shot at 7:54 PM, so 1 hour and 7 minutes after sunset. I took a bunch of pics once the comet became visible, the first at 7:45 PM, the last at 7:59 PM. The comet sank below the horizon moments after the last shot.

EDIT: Corrected the last two times above, they were off by an hour. I still need to reset the camera time for DST.

The moon just looks full due to the long exposure needed to capture the dim comet.
