Thanks so much, Zipper, it's a real distinct pleasure to be able to join you for your build through the great pictures! Some of this same lays ahead for me so I'll likely steal liberally from your applied expertise, thanks for that too!

Really admire the workmanship but your rollaway stacks, lathe, shop etc. suggest we ain't viewing the fiddlings of a rank amateur! Sure going to be one fine rig when you're done, no doubt about it, can't wait to see it. Beautiful, and I could go on and on...!

I wonder whose images I was looking at ? I just looked back through yours and indeed the torch is a liquid, I notice the Miller and pedal.We have an ESAB 352 where I hang out big tig welders are fun, the high frequency destroys lots of electrical devices(radios,cordless phones) left laying on the welder too long, any big box that can make a bolt of light come out of a hand held torch is impressive.
What really interests me is your cuts are all so nice, you can't do them all on the lathe have you got access to a plasma table, water jet or something ? DB

i use a straight edge and my plasma cutter
then off to the belt sander

Thank you, sir, a ways off yet. Firm believer in having it all lined out on paper, fully designed before I start hackin' & whackin' so taking my time to try to forsee the full end result before sparks fly.

at a great pace Zipper, you will be tearing around on it in no time.

I ordered the materials for mine a few days ago, now I just need to get my game plan finalized or at least as close as I can.

I did pick up the FX 30 Arcstation, what a great piece! It's already made life easier.

i really love the work you did. awesome skill ! i just started building a sidecar and your post have been a pretty good brainstorming for all question i had trouble with. If you agree i would like to take some of your idea to put into my project. your sway bar seem to be a good addition to my setup. i still need work on my swing arm '' durability '' and you just give me some great tips ! thank you

Pretty nice and all tig welded too overkill but really nice, I was showing my welder buddy your work especially the plug welded swing arm pivot (maximum overkill) and he liked it, thought you tried to hard(overbuilt), he's usually guilty of the same thing.
Your subframe is stiffer than Claude's Why ? Though I wonder if you may be onto something with your extra support. You might as well add a loop where the purple level is sitting for an auto battery box, get some extra amps and move the weight to the right.
If you as nicely with the body it'll be lovely.DB

You have an extra support on the front across the plastic cover where the alternator belt resides, it looks as though there's plenty of room to get the cover off. Anyway that stiffens the front upper arm mount up, I like it.Got any ideas for a battery box ? Batteries can never get too big DB
