Omloop Het Nieuwsblad is tomorrow AM. If I have the maths right, it starts at 0545 DC time and ends somewhere around 1045 DC time.

Check www.cyclingfans.com for specifics (once they list em!)

If you don't already have some, Gore Bike Wear stuff rawks. Thought I'd point out (again) that between the sleet and rain, I came back to the house with booties covered in ice and was completely dry. I wasn't even wearing my 'waterproof' jacket. Only the Windstopper Phantom jacket.

I've seen those, or something very similar. all thin stay sized tubing. looked a little whippy to me, I dunno. but I didn't ride it, for all I know, its really stiff. the one I saw had a more normal handlebar on it.

There is a funny story behind that.... According to Quali.... er, I mean Salsa. There is no market for that bike.
Then some little company called Minneapolis Bicycle Company showed this and all of the sudden... POOF! There IS a market afterall.

Story here: MPLS Murphy

There is more, but I will save you the drama. Let me just say Q is NOT happy....

That's a cool bike.

Well, I hope QBP doesn't do something stupid like the Specialized/Volagi debacle.

We're back to elevated chainstays eh? I'm gonna re introduce the roller cam brake, and friction shifting. I have nothing against elevated stays, they give vertical compliance and horizontal stiffness, or is it horizontal compliance and vertical stiffness, or no stiffness, or....

It allows you to run a standard BB width, I think it is 73mm.
Carbon allows the frame to be stiffer than the old elevated stay bikes of the days gone by.
It rides really nice and I run about 195lb, I was riding a size small though.

I'm not convinced on fat-bikes, but Freewheel had some custom Krampus' that looked fun...

29+ may be what I look for next.

looks like what we used to think of as the definition of a real cyclist; a bike that's worth multiples of the car hauling it.
(used to be what most every Cat 2 racers setup looked like... )

they're said to be quite rigid in the right places because of the space-frame design (similar to the Alex Moulton design).

in no small part because they're currently made in Copenhagen's hippy central, Christiania.

What's the deal with the jock strap that runs from the seat to the head tube?
