Is it really that hard to just bang out a seat pan out of some sheet metal? Seems like any sorta decent fabricator could make one.

Missed you Michael, but I didn't get there till 4:30 since I had to work today. The whole place has been re-arranged, I didn't see the collector bikes but I did order a new chain slider for my TDM, which might be bordering on collector status as the part will be flown in from Japan.
For the KLR fans there is a nice looking black one there with yellow accents...Sharp!
For the record, I did not risk divorce by signing on the line for a new Tiger, I am tempted though, that deal only lasts a few more days I think....

I'm going to try and make one out if fiberglass since that's what I'm used to working with. The problem with finding a fabricator is the cost. I don't want to have 25% of the bike value tied up in a seat.

Reminds me of the time a deranged shotgun wielding Mexican chased me out of one of these...

On a Main St., which is also a 3-digit state route that reads the same, forwards or backwards. The middle digit is a "1".
Although the building across the street is a "Firehouse", do not use 911 to find out what the special is.

He's been trying to sell that for a couple of years, I thought about buying it to hang up on the wall or something

You could pull a mold off the existing seat probobly, after you made the first one you could prob recoup your costs by turning out a few for other guys . If I wasn't so busy, i would kinda like the challenge of trying to knock some sheetmetal into the correct shape.

That's kind of what I'm going to try. The problem is that the seat will not hold its shape when not on the bike. The set is really just a flexible piece of foam. I've got someone that may loan me a no longer available seat that has a pan as a fall back plan.

Can you build a jig that mimics the seat mounts on the bike to hold it in position and pull your mold that way? Wrap the foam in aluminum foil or saran wrap and start laying it up?

MR = Mentally Retarded....?

I alos like the airbrushed mototorcycle on the tank... of the motorcycle. I bet that toolbag's Harley T-shirts feature renderings of other Harley t-shirts.

I find the "MR" on the bike personally offensive. I feel he is using an unauthorized and false endorsement. That bike is definitely not Muddyrabbit approved. I think I'll sue.

It has exactly 10 thousandths of an inch of ground clearance which would be a little rough at Wayne.

Actually I think most trails at Wayne could be run on that.
