I guess it's an acquired preference but I don't like riding much once it gets below about 12*C here in winter (and that doesn't happen often fortunately!). Do your heated grips have a third and fourth setting?

That photo of mine taken with the sandstone cliffs in the background gets snow in winter but even then I don't think temps get down to those you guys ride in.

If you ever get down this way, give me a shout, be good to do a trip or two with you.

I do have a set of the Giant Loop Bushwacker wind/rain deflectors (they're due out very soon but you may not need them ) over my handguards. You can see them in the top pic and from the side here:

45 degrees and the recent rain washed away the salt. Had to go out for a bit to keep my sanity. Also tested out the Leo exhaust with the db killer removed. Love it. Almost sounds like a Duc.
