This is my first water cooled Duc but I knew the motor would be fantastic. Awesome, usable power and tons of personality exuding from that lovely sounding and loud V-twin were to be expected. Power delivery was smooth enough, linear and tractable with a real nice top end rush to the redline. The real surprise to me was the handling. This bike turns instantly like my KTM supermoto and handles like a bike seemingly 100lbs lighter than it really is. Definitely sport-bike like yet thanks to the DES it is also very supple on the bumps. The great steering lock and balanced ergos make u-turns a snap and the Sargent seat and calsci screen kept it comfortable in the sub 35 degrees weather. At 6'4" with size 14 boot i was worried about fitting but i was very comfortable.

Complaints? only that I will need more fore aft movement in the seat for longer rides and my finger flips the high beam on during spirited cornering. Also the starting doesn't instill confidence...it seems to hesitate for a second before cranking over. Overall i would say we're off to a great start.

Hello kind sir! You'll also be happy to know that the MTS12S even won in my own shoot out of sorts.....notice that the GS is no longer in my stead. All kidding aside, the Multi fits the type of riding I do most, plain and simple.

Now, about that rear brake......

Done a bit of work over the last few days to my MTS.
I've fitted some LED lights that came from Hong Kong along with a TrailTech handlebar switch, Fuzeblock and IQ170 control box.
I then build a small perspex cover to protect the Fuzebox and added another Hella socket and a standard cigarette lighter socket to that cover so I can charge camera batteries and my GoPro spare batteries on the go.

Here's some pics of various aspects of the install. It was a long slog but worth it in my opinion for the convenience and extra light!

I soldered every joint where possible, used waterproof connectors to make removal of the engine bars easy for servicing and generally took my time over the entire install.

The TrailTech switch fits in just nicely here;


This is where I "hid" the IQ170;


I loomed the wires to protect them wherever I could and to make the install look as professional as possible;


The Fuzebox under the perspex cover;

The cover in place to protect everything;


I'm really happy with the end result and am looking forward to some evening rides to try out the lights.

I have programmed them so that with the switch down they are off, mid position the lights are 60% and fully up they are at 100%. They also come on fully with main beam and flash with the main beam.

I thoroughly recommend the Skene IQ controller, it's an excellent bit of kit.

I put the IQ170 under the left rear fairing (under the fairing that says 1200 S) tied to the rear sub frame.

I put the flash2pass up near where you put your 170 but lower.

Can you elaborate? I am sold on the multi. Just debating on full termi. With high flow filter & race ECU..Does anybody have real world #s? If not i think I will be the test subject because my buddy owns a motorcycle shop equipped with a Dyno= real world HP gains if any.
