Maybe his nose was a little low again, and infield trips like that destroy it so it can't be measured.

Yeah, yesterday's race everyone got crazy bumping into one another.
No wonder that wreck occurred!

I'm surprised that inside line didn't work most of the day.

I wanted Mark Martin to take the win!
Nice to see him though on the podium.

Looked pretty intentional didn't it?

I thought the racing was very bland and one line. Best move of the day was when Kenseth took the lead with authority, not surprised he scattered that motor, serious power.

It's not the first time. He won a race last year and destroyed the tail in a similar manner so his rear spoiler couldn't be measured.

It struck me as odd that they spent more time talking about the herculean effort to repair the fence ("worked past midnight") than the fact that there were many injuries, two critial and one of the critical injuries was a kid.

As for the racing itself? Meh, not as good as I had hoped. Most of the position shuffles happened in the pits. We'll see what happens when they get to Phoenix.

Restrict or plate races generally are dull, when every car has only one ball, nobody can really step away .

I'm sure they'll tune the bodies a bit as the season progresses.

I thought the last lap was awesome! The veterans took Danica to school. Still, she was great to run up near the front all day and lead a little. She's going to be good.

I remember not to long ago multiple lead changes per lap and not just the last one.

Injured Nationwide Daytona fans

I was shocked to hear that Tony Stewart, was the ONLY NASCAR driver to take time, and go spend two hours at Halifax Hospital with the injured fans on Sunday.

I have a new respect for him!

There's also video of the crash from the stands.

Looks like Danica has a lot left to learn, she pretty much had no idea why the right front blew out. I'd bet that she couldn't help the crew with input during practice and they just threw Newman's setup on her car since they both did the same thing.

Still a fan, maybe after a full time season she will have a better grasp.

Why would she know? I'm a Danica fan but not a believer......Denny Hamlins crying because he got fined for saying he doesn't like the new cars is silly. Silly Nascar for fining him for bitching and silly him for whining. All the cars are still idenical so whats the beef? Just drive it and make your millions.
