Yes Alan, I am working that weekend and have been busy so far. It looks like a decent season coming up..
Hopefully in the Fall I am able to show up...

Sorry I missed the clean-up day; first time I've missed one.

Started back to the Chiropractor on Friday. My back is getting to the point I couldn't ride if I put it off any longer.
The FF raised his rate to $60 per visit. The KLR rider in me worked out a deal; unlimited visits for 6 months for $1200 in advance. I go every day for a week, 4 times a week for 2 months, then twice a week for 4 months. Works out to $17 per visit.

Hope that works out for you Jeff

Reminds me I need to excercise my back as well

Still have some things that have to be done at The Scrub

Realized yesterday that the phone company cut the sewer force main that we put in there where it crosses the road by the bunk house

Right before we left the ground had apparently become saturated with water enough to show that the water main is also cut

Actually felt relieved a bit when I saw water bubbling up

The pump was having a hard time coming up to pressure and I was turning it on and off as we needed it

Sure do wish one of you guys would just buy me out up there

I still would like to go in on it with you! Think about it and lets talk about it in 2 weeks.

BTW, Augie, Tony, and Clay are coming.

I was doing good with this guy before.
I went to him for about 6 mths before $$ got too tight and I had to quit. The migraines had quit and I was almost pain free so it works well for me.

I've been piddling along making changes to suit me and rerigging several things the PO had set up - some incorrectly, and some that just didn't suit me.

A while back we did a float test to see how my changes to trailer setup worked and to check the rake of the mast while it actually floated on its true waterline. In the process I managed to break the wood mast crutch I had just made for holding the upper part of the mast at the transom. The steel replacement (which is modified to allow me to do all mast raising and lowering by myself) is all welded up and should start getting paint today or tomorrow.

Along the way I decided that the vintage Evinrude long shaft that came with the boat was too heavy and more power than needed. So I put a carb kit in my smaller Evinrude that I bought new for a 24' sailboat I built back in the 80s. Couldn't get it to keep running - just fired and died. Pulled the carb off again and discovered part of an insect stuck in and holding open one of the two reed valves. Problem solved. Now I need to go pick up some SS carrige bolts and install my old kick-up bracket on the stern to accommodate the shorter shaft on that motor. It'll be a lot easier dealing with a motor that's 30 lbs lighter and has a self contained fuel tank.

All this piddling along has been alternating with working on both bikes trying to get both road ready, working on the Jeep, and fixing all the crap that breaks around the house.

Filled a 12 pack beer box for The Scrub

Looking pretty iffy for this one. Pretty sure if I make it, it will only be a day trip for Beth & me in the Jeep or a day trip for me on the airhead. And right now the Jeep, the airhead, and F 650 all need work to go anywhere.
