I discovered the bottom hole in a Rotopax would slide onto the passenger footpegs and strap to the side TCI luggage rack braces. For years I've carried two 30oz MSR in the Sweetcheeks. Just added the 6.6 Safari to the TE630.

2 Rotopax = 2 gal
Safari tank = 6.6 gal
2 MSR in Sweetcheeks seat cover = .5 gal
Total = 9.1 gal if I ever needed it (haven't yet)

9.1 x 45mpg = 409miles
Husky fully fueled w/ loaded Wolfmans ~ 425lbs and fuel weight is nice and low on bike.

I had the 6.6 gal Safari tank an my TE610 and loved it. Carries the fuel nice and low, especially if its less that 3gals. You'll probably find you don't even need to worry about extra gas, but then again, you are out west. Nice looking with the decals there too.

I'd agree, 7 gallons between Safari and MSR is plenty. More likely will carry water Rotopax for some trips.

So are those rotopax just sitting on the footpegs and strapped in? Any close ups? Seems like a cool setup.

Yes, bottom hole in Rotopax is slid onto rear footpegs.

There's some great ideas here and a few that I would steer clear from.

I made a little pouch to carry a pair of MSR bottles; mounted to the rear fender. Keeps everything "Streamlined" clean and simple. Looks similar to this.... http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...Tool-Pack.aspx

What are those seats in the back against the rock? .... Looks like they came from a bus station.

Just the idea. Eventually it be strap better, just using the bungee cord to show .

Ugh... Too clean for my tastes. Throw some mud or road grime or something on there. Sterile-looking bikes displease my senses.
