Some very cool information there, thanks for posting. The most interesting thing about it (to me) is the contrast between the spirit of the original idea compared to the current status. I.e. - adventurers coming together to enjoy a ride and a country, compared to todays high dollar "win at all costs" mentality...generalizing of course. Very cool.

Cool documentary. Stumbled onto it a few days ago, fairly easy to find in hi-def.
Those first rallies in the late 70's/early 80's must have been amazing, source your own petrol, bring your own food, navigate by compass and sextant. |
