For those who are looking for a hotel, could be better if you could check with the Race Accommodation before you book one.
Most of the rooms have been pre booked for your convenience and whatever we suggest you, has been checked by us and the Municipality Tourist Office.

Hi there, I really am not familiar with your Federation policy.
Usually starting permissions have a cost, if repatriation is included.
The price sounds normal.

That's great, but the booking system is too much hassle. To fill out a form with credit card details including security code, then scan it and email or fax it, or pay with a bank transfer. It's too complicated when you can just go to booking.com and do it in less than 30 seconds (and they charge you when you cheque out, not before). Maybe next year you could sort out a more simple system which just requires an online booking where the card is not charged until arrival.

I will be looking into all the details of the rally, flights and hotels once i'm back from the Tuareg Rally.

We get to the airport around lunchtime on the 19th. Rod is flying from gatwick, two of us are flying from manchester, the flights get in at a similar time.

Not willing to argue, but booking.com has a similar policy and does not even guarantee any mischarge for any credit card.
So far we looked everywhere and there is noone charging anything during the checkout, apart from mini bar and telephone charges.
In any case what we suggest is checked and quaranteed by us, hotel management is not our business, our aim was to make it easier for the competitors.

Sure, and any help is appreciated. But if the orga is going to offer hotel accomodation, it needs to be as simple as an online booking process, not printing forms, faxing then sending money by bank transfer (for which there is a fee to be paid for sending money in euros) or faxing credit card details.
