I have some for sure, just cant recall overall condition. Will look close today after plumbing emergency is over. You can have them just pay shipping if I find some.

Mirrors for a r75/5

Looking for a good deal on new mirrors for a R75/5 , ones from BMW are $46 dollars each, I have the high bars and the round mirrors that are both different sizes, long stem and short stem, I am looking for a pair of chrome round ones, either size long or short, looks like 10 mm reverse thread on left, not sure on the right side the nut is stripped and dont want to take off until I have a replacement, any info ???? THANKS !!!!!

It might help to say if you have the high bars or the low bars. Different mirrors. Also if you need R or L. Different thread as I recall.

Personally I liked the Baren bar end mirrors (like napoleons) and I put a pushbutton switch in the mirror hole to make the starter protection relay go away. Those BMW mirrors are costly, and then they get rusty.

I drilled out the holes in the perch on mt R75 and inserted a 10x1.25 helicoil, but I suppose I could have just drilled and tapped the hole as mine had a 8mm clearance hole.

But I like inserts in alloy.

It will give you a much better choice of mirrors, 10x1.25 mm RHT is the industry norm.

I found a good quality pair of mirrors on Ebay, made for a Kawasaki Z1 - look and perform just like the OEM mirrors on my G/S and GS but cost around $17- each.

I can be described as conservative when it comes to modifications of my bike. So it would seem, even to me, that I should not like this idea. Surprise! I think that's a great idea. Try to remember to tell the next owner if you ever sell this bike.
