Video of a local rider crashing on a car tire with camera focused on the tire. That video and my watching how little contact patch he had in a corner are enough for me to not want to repeat his lesson, no matter how much money I would save from the extra mileage I would get from a tire.

Stop trying to make sense, Doug has proven to all of us that these people know what they're doing, even more so than motorcycle and tire engineers...

I didn't catch the millisecond of the underexposed super-8 flick where the rider allegedly crashes.

I'm well aware of the Rocket-3 darksider that drops the camera and the naysayers thought he crashed.
Edit: on the same YT-channel, even:

Tried documenting how car tire works on my bike when I lost it on a tight corner...

GOTCHA! Watch closely and you will see me ride off and turn right when the camera stops spinning. It was just the camera that "lost it"! Watch my other videos to see how a car tire really works on a motorcycle
Boooh, try again.

i am sure a darksider, sometime, somewhere, has crashed cooking a corner. of course, no one on regular motorcycle tires has ever done that....

i know, erik; i am agreeing w/you. the only point i was making is, even if it were a wideo of a darksider going down - so what?

It's legit. Rider is just splitting the difference between MC and Car tires.
