Yet another Death Valley trip...

I made this trip last fall, but just recently signed up for Smugmug to be able to post pics...

I've been here several times, but never to the north end. I trailered the GS from AZ to the park, arriving about 10:30pm. Mesquite campground was full, so I ended up sleeping in the "no parking" area of Scotty's Castle. Was up at first light and found a site at Mesquite...





1st on the agenda was Ubehebe Crater...



then on to the Racetrack...



and Teakettle Jct..



windy and rough on the way to Racetrack...





amazing cloud formations....













then on to Lost Burro Mine and Hidden Valley..





the next day it was off to Crankshaft Crossing...





and over the pass....



to check out some old mine sites...
