I just took the stickers off the back of my panniers. But I just can't bring myself to mount the tool tubes.I just can't help feel its a bit much. I guess I will think about it over the weekend.....

What about on the top of the lid? I was at twisted throttle 2 weeks ago and that's how they had one mounted. Looked pretty good. Paint the back end red and it would look like rocket boosters.

I would rather keep the weight as low as possible. And I often strap bags to the lid tops. I would hate to lose the space.

The bags are usually pretty empty. But I like to have room for my wet gear or dirty gear. Or for stuff I acquire on the road. The top box is usually empty too. I like to leave my helmet and jacket locked up when I get where I am going.

Nice, I like that setup with the bags. I don't ride two up, so I am putting the MSR I just got on the back side of the top case, right above the seat, basically where it would hit the passenger in the small of the back. I am assuming they would hit your leg if you flipped them around put them on the front edge?

I thought about the front. But I think it will hit my legs when I am standing still.

I just tried the spot. I like it. And it turns out to be ok for riding and standing. I will probably go this route. It keeps the weight forward and low. And I don't come close to touch it unless really try to touch it. And the latches open just fine.

That looks sweet, and you don't lose a primo sticker spot and have all that wheelie making weight back there.

I hope so, I'm going to be out and about the Scranton/Wilkesberry area over the coming months for work. I need a local to show me the eateries.

How about some camping in Pennsylvania?

How am I supposed to think out of the box; if they don't let me out of the box?
