Roadbook Mount from Rally Raid Products
Quote:
I was wondering, if someone here already uses this roadbook mount of Rally Raid Products in conjunction with their top bar clamp. I do some smal adventure roadbook trips in NL and BE using a Touratech RB TTi and an ICO. I mounted this until know with a LC4 adapter to my EXC what is not best solution. So I was looking out for a robust but easy to remove solution because the rally equipment I only need 2-3 times a year, the rest of it, I do cross country and don't want this to be mounted. With these requirements, I found the RRP solution to fit perfect. I ordered the roadbook mount as well the top bar clamp from a local (germany) dealer as the fees for ordering from UK are pretty high. I received both parts very quick and now comes my question to you, if you already use the same equipment: Both parts should come with the same finish according to RRP HP what should be silver anodized. What I received was a pretty perfect worked and anodized top bar clamp but a roadbook mount that is not anodized. The whole finish of the roadbook mount seems to me much more like a engeneering prototype. Do those of you, who use this see the same? So the description on the HP is wrong? Or is the finish of both items same and I received a pre-production model (but paid full price)? I already wrote an email to RRP but get no response since 4 weeks. The dealer, what from I ordered, is as well in discussion with RRP but as well did get no clear response. So it would be nice if someone here uses these parts and could tell me about the finish of these. Thanks, Markus |
