Usery pass. Call me if you want more detail. it's a moderate ride. The trails itself isn't too long but should make for a good half day of riding.

Saturday Ride

Sorry about the late reply but I would like to ride along if that is OK. I might head towards Tombstone and Bisbee if time permits afterward.

Well I made it back home in one piece just a little beat up. Aside from going over the bars I had a blast. Was nice to meet BIG-E, Monte and Desert Dog. Hope to do some more riding soon. Thanks....James

Thanks for a great day guys! Thanks to everyone for bailing me out with the flat. It is funny that Agua Caliente isn't really that far but when you start going through the desert it gets further away and the sun gets lower the more fun you have. Thank you Monte and Eric for letting me test ride your bikes it was an eye opening experience you guys both have amazing rides.
Hope to get a ride together in a couple of weeks when I come back from my son's wedding. -Paul

Monte

950SE pre buy to do list:

1. Increase body strength to pick up 550lb enduro. (Do-able)

2. Sell all my bikes and save a few thousand more. (Do-able)

3. Increase riding skill to compensate for 100hp. (Maybe do-able)

4. Fly to Japan and cure short legs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfDy-uebGgg
(Maybe do-able but I a kinda afraid of the pain)

Other than that yeah I am down that beast is amazing!

Good on ya

Well good for you Paul, now I can stop & help you pick up a fat pig. Oh yeah don't forget to hit the gym---it don't help but you'll feel

better about picking it up after all a 500# pig is still a 500# pig & it will spit you off and will get the both of you dirty &

the 500# pig will like it You ---not so much.

Hey Jeff, I learned from you my friend. I will not be buying a 950SE, but I have to say I think I could have hit 100mph on the pipeline road and stayed upright. That bike was out of this world. I didn't get out of 3rd gear but I had the feeling that the faster you went the more stable the bike was. I could see myself getting a DR650 and doing all of the mods on it that MonteK has done to his bike. I am sure he has a couple of thousand in add-ons on his KLR but when I rode it the feeling was that I was on a high performance off road bike not a KLR. I have ridden Bill's DR650 and the bike fits me like a glove, excepting the seat. When I do finally get off my butt and sell some bikes I will ride up and see you on the new one. Take care, Paul

Ok guys I have an idea, please let me know what you think.
Saturday March 16th (We can meet earlier and ride together out to Buckeye)
0930 Sheep Camp Restaurant
304 E US Highway 85 Buckeye, AZ
Have a little food and BS then MC85 west to Oglesby road north then west to Baseline road the NW on Salome Highway to Courthouse Rd west which turns into Centennial rd there we pick up the ElPaso Pipeline road aka 571st Ave which we ride for about 85 miles to 95 north arriving in Quartzite, AZ for a late lunch. On the way back we can jump on the freeway and attempt to stay awake after a long ride.

I am asking if you guys think this is a good idea because I have never been out that way and because of the 160 or so miles riding freeway home. Let me know it could be epic cool or fail but as always it would provide adventure.
