Check Indiana. Our license laws has a grandfather provision regarding age before a defined date. I can't remember what that date is but I'm 53 and I am not required by the statute to take a hunter safety course. I want to say the cut off date was 1968 or 1970?

That's pretty ridiculous. Wouldn't you have to have a resident license from another state then sorta make believe you just moved to CT and want to get your res. license there? Been a few years but I believe PA will sell you non-resident license without proof of a hunter safety course, I think maybe I had to sign something that I had passed a HS course. Always brought my NJ license along but don't recall ever being asked for it. Good luck

That's funny. I just moved to CT from NY and they accepted my NY license as proof at the town clerk's office, even though the state web site says they don't. The clerk called the state people and they said it was OK. Go figure.

I had an undated bow hunter safety certificate, and the clerk was all over it looking for a date, but finally took it too, and put that in the computer for the future. Being a geezer, everything was free, including a fishing permit (I didn't take the bow tag which would have cost).

She runs with me. She gets about 15 miles in, each time. The JRT, runs the same. I am training him to find horns. He is picking it up, slowly
