90 Degree thingy


I got this stand for my stove top gadget just about every grey nomad carries the gas bottles never really a problem for a supply here at home anyway couple bucks for a can or 5 for $12 at K mart beats the hell out of paying top dollar for the custom made cans.

I've only just started doing overnight & longer rides, so I use one of those cheap butane burner thingys that normally lives in the back of my 4x4:



The Hillbilly hotplate folds up and fits in the case for the stove, along with cutlery, coffee, sugar, and a few little UHT milk packets (15ml ones stolen from various places).

Not a good setup for stews/soups etc due to lack of depth of the hotplate, but after reading this thread I'll be looking into a different setup I think.

They are great but do not work with one of my stoves.
The pin on the stove that opens the valve in the tripod stand is too short.
Didn't bother trying to work around it or work out if the stoves pin was the problem or if the tripods valve was too low as my other stove worked.
Just check it out BEFORE you head off....
