Southern end after you come out of the trees in the open area.

Easy to spot and only about a Kilometre.

Park in the back streets then or at the showgrounds or a church car park or next to a grey nomad. The generator running all night is the only downside.

Catch you there.
What about over Birregun Chris? Any info.

This is the right answer! Get into a roadside stop about 4, go and introduce yourself, slip in a bit about your overseas adventures to make you a bit interesting, 5pm is happy hour with the old farts, so have a few bevvies with them, and I can just about guarantee that one mob will offer you a home cooked meal, enjoy that, then you'll get sweets and coffee!
Make sure you get their email and send them a thanks for their hospitality, seriuously, you can become part of their family nearly, just in one night!
And yes, I have experienced this a number of times personally, they may take more readily to a solo bike rider, not sure, but its a good lurk, get on it!!

No, fuckyah, Mount Birregun. The bloody dog's grave-n-all that.

By the way Chris, and this is completely OT, but, I wrote a short story and stuck it in a competition and won it. So, I gots to get me story read on youtube by none other than William McInnes and by all accounts, he does a terrific job.
