I have a similar goal so that's why I'm doing 40+/senior class. Sounds like C will be very crowded. I figure I'll see enough of the C class anyway as they should be starting earlier so I'll be passing some of them and maybe getting passed by some later in the day. I had carpal tunnel surgery in October so I will be loading up on ibuprofen before the start and then just riding rather than racing ("please, after you, sir"). We'll see if the race environment changes my approach or not. ;) I haven't raced much and my last one was over 10 years ago so...

Picked up my 98 KDX 200 yesterday in snowy Ohio. Didn't even get a chance to test ride it! :)
But it fired up just fine and the PO (an inmate) looks like he went over it with a fine tooth comb. I'm super excited to get on it sometime this week and start learning about the bike and getting on some trails. So excited I can barely stand it.

Mine's an '03 200, all stock. Great woods bike, incredibly reliable, takes me places that blow my mind. Right now its mounted with ice tires for touring frozen rivers.

Another great day for winter riding here in Alberta yesterday. I'm loving how my KDX is running with RB mods. Have a set of KX250 forks ordered for it - hope to get them grafted on next month.

Yes - I did both at the same time. Bike is certainly running stronger than before... Ron does some nice work.

New Bike
Since I started this thread, I feel obligated to report that I sold my (2nd) H-series KDX200 back in December of 2012. I wasn't even trying to sell it! I was approached by someone who knew that I owned a street legal KDX200.
I replaced it with a 2012 KTM 350 EXC. I hope that the EXC is as reliable, nimble, and fun as the KDX was. I will always be a KDX lover. With just a pipe and a reed cage, they are fun, reliable, capable, and affordable, and I would never hesitate to recommend one to a friend.

Playin at a local offroad park yesterday. So far the bike has been fantastic for me. It is going to be a while before I feel like I need something faster.
Also, I get a lot of comments on the KDX when people see it. There seems to be a lot of respect and nostalgia out there for them! ![]()
