Brand new to me; got it yesterday. 2009 SE with less than 10,000 km on the clock. Previous owner never took it off-road

Hey folks,
Hoping to get an adventure bike before the end of the year. Question is. Does the 950enduro do ok on the street say 50/50 dirt street. For say 300mi days? I already have a full on dirtbike and will be keeping that. Just like to do some adventure type trips. Really lie the concept of the 950r cause dirt will always call to me. |

The 950SE is, in my very humble opinion, the best bike on the planet. Road manners are fantastic. Dirt, it's even better. I ride my SE on a trip this past summer a d averaged nearly 500 miles a day. Several days, nearly 800 miles. Thousand of miles of slab and never once did I wish I was on a different bike. Turn off onto dirt and its utopia. If you can find one, just get it.

well, I´m just doing some tests, for hanging out, you know, I´m bored
I removed the air box ![]() ![]() and put two oiled bombardier filters this way ![]() ![]() I had to bend them a bit to fit under the seat properly ![]() and it worked well, now the bike runs too thin, need to change carburetors settings, but that will be done soon

well, this was just a test
the bike runs at mid and high range really really strong but this ain´t a good set up for the rainy and steepy terrain we got around here. It´s not about the more HP you can gain (5% exhaust+free air filter), it´s the response..... extremely immediate, perhaps perfect for dry and open wide terrains |
