Branded Fue vs "generic" fuel vs easy to find

I know I've read it all comes from the "same tank"..
.. but I still prefer to purchase "Brand Name" over "no name".

In this order, I usually I look for:
Chevron ,Shell,Texaco,Exxon and BP.
... but they seem to be getting harder and harder to find.

Used to be Chevron and Texaco both added techron to their mix..
..not sure if they still do that.

Anyone else prefer the branded fuel over the no-name fuel?

Dennis

because they're getting harder to find around here,
I created an additional search page for it in the "additional weather" section
called Brand Fuel within 12 miles.
It shows your current location and nearest 20 gas stations within about 12 miles based on my preferred list.. then fills in with Kangaroo if nothing else is around.
.. looks like this:

It is Friday AM and main street is already "clogged"..
.. nice.. I don't care what the calendar says..
..NOW it must officially be "spring"

if you have easy map.. just go to Hourly or 7-Day and I've added "traffic" when you zoom in..

see you there!

power consumption

Do you have any hints on reducing power consumption in the Droid.

I have a USB charger hooked up, but I find that if the cord works loose or if I let the charge drop, it is very difficult to get the droid back up to full charge.

You can't really reduce the power consumption..
.. you need to increase the charging rate.

The problem is the USB charger.
That is only 400 ma.. That is barely a trickle charger and not enough to use the GPS while charging.
.. it is not designed to both use and charge the phone at the same time.

Go to "Best Buy" and get their "Rocketfish" charger..
.. about $26 but it is rated at 2500 ma.

More info here about 1/3 the way down:

Just in time for Spring

I added another page to the Geo-Referenced section.
No new download needed, it's just there.
It almost could replace many of the other wea functions.

From the home page, go to WEATHER then ADDITIONAL WEATHER then in the GeoRef@@ section:
"Current: Clouds, and high/low Temps
..then.. either zoom out for Satellite overlay OR tap the icon for WIND, Humidity and 4 Day forecast."

When you first open it, it will center on and show your current location (the AndyRoid biker) but you can drag it anyplace you wish..
(even up into Canada and Alaska).

At the default zoom level, the SAT view is hidden but if you zoom out the SAT view will get overlayed on the map.
Or, you can tap any of the "current temp/cloud/sun" icons (sun for day and moon for night) over any city and get the WIND, high/low temp forecast, Humidity and 4 Day forecast.

Dennis

.. it should look something like this:

playing around with the new screen I realized that it's not just for U.S., Canada and Alaska.. it's actually for the entire world..
.. just zoom out..
