Man am I glad I'm not the only other poor fool who has done exactly this! I have spent so many days doing the very same thing and never understanding what it is that I was doing wrong. Like others have said, I ended up making smaller maps. BUT the best thing I did was just use the maps to show exactly where I wanted to go and make lists of all the important junctions to force my GPS to route me exactly where I wanted it to take me. I then installed all of these junctions into the GPS as favorites and used a paper list to instruct me to choose the correct sequence to tell the GPS which to use next.
I finally gave up trying to get a route input into my GPS as I had so many points that it was just too much for it to swallow.
I am a dinasaur when technology is concerned and I'm sure someone who has a remotely slight understanding of these black majic boxes should be able to explain it to you. That is unless you too are similar to me.....

You need to search out Telegraph Creek also and add it into your route. Search Salmon Glacier too if you haven't found that also. D2D is on your route too.

73 Datsun eh....I used to buy nothing but 510's myself......loved them!

Salmon Glacier is on my "notes" list.

I'll check out Telegraph Creek as well.

As for the Datsun, the 240Z was my first cool car. Purchased it 2001 at the age of 18. Loved it.

Then I bought my first house in MPLS with a one car garage. I didn't have room for my 9-3. My 9-3 rally car. And the 240Z. Plus I was house poor. Sold it. Regret it.

Now I drive a Chevy Volt.

How the times have changed.

73 Datsun

Glad you said what kind of Datsun it was. I was going to ask. My first car was a '72 Datsun 510.

Good luck on your trip!

Since we've solved the Google Maps debacle, I'll go off topic.
