17 Inch Dual Sport Tires
I am headed to Alaska this Summer and would like to put on some more dirt friendly tires on my KTM 950 Super Moto. The wide 17' rims are a problem and I am not interested in swapping them out. I don't need knobbies, just something a little better for gravel and an occasional good dirt road.
Stock rear 180/55/17 Stock front 120/70/17. Any ideas? Thanks!! |

I ran Dunlop 616 on my multistrada 1200 with good results. The best dirt tire short of a knobby for 17 inch wheels. Run the tires at 31 psi front and 34 rear. Another option is conti trail attacks - I never tried them but guys with 990 adventures claim some pretty absurd mileage results. One last suggestion - a tkc80 front, and a different tire (Dunlop, conti or avon) on the back.

ran these on my 990 smt .. cant say enough about them, they actually give you a decant amount of grip in the dirt and are surprisingly sticky on the road

+2 on Distanzia (rear), maybe a TKC (expensive) on the front.

I dont think distenzias come wide enough for the rear.
