thanks for the invite! We're planning to be in the Balkans in September/October this year, riding 3 KTM 690's and 1 HP2 starting in Albania and ending in Venice!

One question, what's the availability of accommodation like in Albania? We're travelling light, and we'll aim to stay off tarmac as much as possible, so we'd rather not carry camping gear.

You can find everything..from 1 to 5 star hotel...Prices are OK specially for you guys. Also in Semptember is end of the summer season and you can find a lot of accomodation ond the sea side of montenegro.

Hello guys!

I am planning a 20 day tour around Balkans (Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, back to Greece) around the end of July. I would like to ask if there is much time waiting in the border between Albania and Montenegro around the end of July. I have read that there are big waiting times. Is this true?

I am planning leaving from the Greek-Albanian borders early in the morning and arrive in Kotor in the evening.

I am planning to stay around Kotor for 2 days, however as I see most hotels or apartments are expensive. I am looking for sth max 30 euros for 2 people with bathroom, clean and cozy. Also, is there any kind of food that you suggest eating or any nice place to eat? (Not 100% touristic).

I July and Avgust it's full season in Montenegro and it is very hard to find accomodation without booking it first. So my advice is to book it.

For border it should not be to much waiting time (half hour most).
Kotor is small town with very beautiful old town and you should visit it if you go there.

For the prices, you can find whatever you like but book it earlier.
