Probably more like Duncan's beemer museum than Duncan's beemer shop. Allegedly he operates a brick and mortar shop somewhere in Mass. I've seen some of his stuff sit on ebay literally for YEARS.

Here let me put some cheap chinese shocks and an uncomfortable seat on that for you and charge you 3-4 times what it's worth.

The duct tape looks to be carefully applied, making this seat well worth the asking price..............

That is 3M duct tape, I checked with the seller. Price justified

The shill bid was $6500 and the wishing price was $9100 ??? Whew.

Wow. Amazing amount of work done on it (from the eBay ad):

Quote:
Main items that were completed:

Complete tear-down to frame and frame painted

Removed heads and cylinders from engine, cleaned pistons, installed new rings, cleaned up valve seats, installed with all new gaskets

Painted body panels blue with a pearl clear, which looks amazing

New battery, custom machined aluminum battery hold down, cleaned up wiring and installed weather pack plugs in necessary places

Machined new center stand bushings

New brake pads on front with re-surfaced rotor, flushed with new Motul fluid

Installed all new seals and gaskets in rear drive hub

Installed new tubes and cleaned wheel hoops (tires are about 85%)

Installed new headlight bulb

New period correct hand grips

New rear shocks with heady duty springs

Freshly covered seat, with hand made cover

Original hard bags with mounts, in rough shape, but functional and complete

Please note the mileage posted at 2022 is not actual chassis mileage. This is mileage on the gauge, which was replaced during the rebuild. Actual mileage on the chassis is somewhere around 30K to the best of our knowledge.

yet a few things missing---seat trim and badges for one. And I gather "handmade" seat cover = home made seat cover. looks it. Thing sound like it was a barn find---and a wet barn at that. I am gathering there was a lot of corrosion, which will return shortly on the aluminum. No indication of which instruments were fitted or of the actual condition of the engine. Ye olde Sherwin Williams overhaul. I would call it a do-not-buy at any price...esp. seeing how the seller has reality problems.
