First of all, you can not judge 'toughness' by looking at someone, or even talking to them for a period of time. 2ndly, no one, repeat NO ONE, knows how tough they are until they are in a really TOUGH situation! I've seen ALOT of 'tough guys' fold like a cheap'o pup tent when things get 'tough'! Its a stunning thing to watch! The best/toughest man I've ever known, was the nicest, kindness, most supportive man you'd ever meet.....and he was with Manstein's army trying to reach Paulus at Stalingard (for those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, google it!!!!). BTW....he was my grandfather and I can only hope to be 1/2 the man he was!

Track Day: my first track day was in '11, on my FZ1. It was STUNNING!! I've done 4 track days, bought a track bike (Gixxer 600 'ex' race bike) and my next day is April 25 at Thunder Hill. Track days change you!

RE: the shirts I'm up for one or two but unfortunately they only go to XXL. Being 6'-7" and 290lbs and having had SOOOO many supposedly 2X shirts shrink after washing them a few times I need a 3X or 3XT ideally. Any chance they can make a freak-sized one for me?

Desmodab--yes. You can select whichever size you want. Sweatshirts only go up to 2x, but the T-Shirts go up to 6L. The selection drop down menu is on the upper right. And two more designs added. :)

Love this report. I have linked many friends to it. I have to give some awareness to the Antihero skateboard company they started in 1996 and have surreal take on skateboarding and long trips, having met the part owner in NZ on one of their epic adventures.

I'd say support both Antihero's as much as you can please

That Kriega gear looks very functional, and really well made. It gives me a really good idea of the size when snapped with you on your steed.

I've got a good idea of what I'll be getting for the R1.

I haven't checked up in a coupe of days, but I would highly recommend Barber's. I have a few hundred laps around the place in a slow car. If I ever get back to making money again I plan on getting a track bike and having fun, but it's not in the cards at the moment. In the mean time here's my much slower than your S2000 ITA car. There's video of me losing the rear at 100+ at Nashville if you look hard enough too. Maybe one day I'll be able to put the car back together...

How far is Leguna? I hear that is a pretty amazing track as well.

A buddy of mine has done track days at TH, Laguna, and Sears Point (sorry, it'll always be Sears Pt to me....was there in '77 watching Brad Lackey and Roger DeCoster!) and his opinion is: Sears is his favorite, a very flowing track. He enjoyed Seca, but said it has many high speed turns and his balls weren't big enough to keep the throttle pinned!
