France kills the breathalyzer

Having passed a law last year that required every motor vehicle, except for scoots, to carry at least one breathalyzer on board, the French government has now decided that the little gem would have little or no impact on accident stats. Seems also that many of the devices were unreliable and the whole idea was very unpopular. Of course, this has no effect on driving/drinking laws.

I wonder how many M.Ps had shares in the makers of the breathalyser bags? - I bought 4 FFS!

This ws so funny, I go to France a lot. I speak a lot of French people. None I spoke to knew about these breathalysers.
The fine was also only 11 euro's for not having them.

They wil, as soon as a few of the politicians buy stocks from the company's that make them.

A bit like the solarpanel-madness we all have to pay for now.
