Final Unifilter
OK unifilter have now finished there final product, I have one in my bike now and am very happy with it.
![]() Here is the final design. Here you can see both filters the inner has the spring and the trumpet from the TB fitted on the left and you can see the right side with the spring ready to be fitted. ![]() ![]() Once you have both Trumpets in the inner filter just tighten the reusable cable ties up so the filter is snug. Place the front Trumpet on and lock in to place and repeat with the rear Trumpet. ![]() ![]() Now fit the orange outer filter over the inner and lock the velcro strap. ![]() ![]() Everything else is the same as my first post. These filters are now in production.

Are unifilter advising to oil both inner and outer or just the outer cover?

I think the orange crush subforum of advrider is lately undergoing a filtering craze.
In the meantime, the rest of us who leave our motors breath properly, enjoy the full shebang of how wonderfully said motor spins up and how good its airbox plenum and stock snorkel do their job, by just using DNA and K&N and BMC etc filters ![]() PS I am sure that the 'end of the world' bike will have twin UNIs plus another UNI instead of snorkel plus a stock paper filter, while the whole bike is wrapped in a plastic bag. mousitsas screwed with this post 03-06-2013 at 06:24 AM |

Hard to tell from the pic,, is it still a velocity stack? Or is that a straight breather pipe?

Also hard to tell from the pic: is the center section open, so each cylinder can draw from the entire filter? or does the center section separate the sides?

The Uni filter looks like it would give you the option to run with or without the Airbox lid .
Boulder, it might be worth starting a seperate thread on the Uni Filter. Cheers

Sort of.
I just put one in my 950. the holes don't quite line up, but the filter has enough give to allow a fit. The carb mouth pulls to one side in the seal, but I don't think it leaks. I will check for signs of leakage after I have a few miles on it (I don't expect to find any).

ok great!!
that's all I need to hear.As I've already deposit on the order and will confirm with them tomoro with the ordering, shud take about 2weeks or so to arrive. I just bought a used 950 and milege just hit 100k.It was fitted with akra cans, but strangely, the previous owner said the mech dump some aftermarket filter and use back a new stock airfilter. How can that actually makes the whole thing breathe.
