What is that running across the road at around 1:43 Dog? almost looks like a young bear.

rallymoto rules
This is Matt I was the Tech Inspector and driver of the COMBO car for Sandblast this year. I wanted to acknowledge all of the riders for the way you handled the crash on Stage 2. Jenna I am glad you are OK. Dave and Ari I am glad you guys are feeling better.
I picked up a few triangles on stages that had fallen off bikes on-stage and I heard more than a few opinions at scrutineering about the usefullness of the safety triangle. I would liike some suggestions on an alternative to the current safety triangle that would be easier to carry and deploy while still meeting the needs of the current rule.

![]() Maybe something like this would work for the bikes. ![]() ![]() They fold up like a little pop tent. It would fit in a pocket and be easy to deploy. They can be had without the writing and with reflective material but I couldn't find a photo easily. |

My thoughts... BC, kudos for going out of your comfort zone, that HP scared me. Boats, ride of the event. Kurt a close second after stepping it up after the first stage.
Now, yep, everyone could go faster on a little bike BUT this is the ONLY event I know of where normal people can choose to stretch the legs of the big bikes! Too many twins were left at home. Jack, bring the big bikes down if you wish to compare, I'll gladly go there but until then quit taking money from people to ride big bikes in sand, that is purely hippicritical! Sorry, that pisses me off. Anders, great event! Work allows I hope to volunteer for next one! |

Jason that is great footage with awesome Airhead soundtrack. I had a ball on the light and fast xrr but truthfully had more fun last year just trying to finish on the GS. I will seriously have to do some thinking for next year's Sandblast.....
Good to see you again

Sorry You Feel That Way!
[QUOTE=Locker43;20884309]My thoughts...Jack, bring the big bikes down if you wish to compare, I'll gladly go there but until then quit taking money from people to ride big bikes in sand, that is purely hippicritical! Sorry, that pisses me off.
QUOTE] Mike: Sorry you feel that way. You mentioned my bike choice 2 or 3 times to me at the event too, get over it. I've done more to promote Big Bike Riding over the last 12 years than anyone on the East Coast. FYI, my Hip issues prevent me from racing a BB these days. Not sure how much longer I'll be able to ride at all. Good Luck in Mexico. Jack |

More than racing...
Discovering an oil leak on shakedown and working til midnight at the hotel the night before to fix it. That's rally apparently.
Waving to the cops that patrol the hotel parking lots to keep our gear safe at night. (seriously they come by every 20 minutes...all night long...) That's part of rally. Discovering the missing TDC bolt rolling around in the pool of oil inside your skid plate when you stop for gas on the ride to the start line. I guess that's part of rally too. Sharing parts from your back pack to help another rider keep their bike going long enough to get to service so they can keep racing. Yep. That's rally. Bringing a friend and for his first ever race on a bike....and sqeaking his trail bike through service with bicycle blinkers and a radioshack horn... Also rally. ![]() ![]()
