Newb to the trip planning.

so im incredibly new to what one would call adventure riding. having a sportbike and off road background my love for motorcycles is endless and since i picked up my one lunger ( crf250l) and discovered the minimalist touring thread. I have decided i want to set out. but what I'm here to ask you now I what are the Items i should not set off without ?

if your going to be street only touring then just a cell phone plus whatever comes in the tool kit. a tube repair kit if your want. this is america thank god. same would apply to dual sporting. if off-road only then i would just have the tube kit. it really depends on how far you plan on going and what you plan on doing.
