For the graphics...Windex or soapy water, both work fine. Use a credit card or bondo scraper to work air bubbles and liquid out. Work from inside to outside, be careful not to scrape or scratch the graphics. If there are some curves or bends, slightly warm up the graphics with a heat gun or hair dryer and work the graphics into the correct form. Let everything dry overnight before you go ripping done the freeway.

Brent-

Hardline Products makes a Sticker On & Sticker Off spray that makes EASY work of applying graphics. Ofcourse, there are probably a hundered home brew versions to make your own spray, but I like using this spray because its easy; pre-mixed in the right proportions. There's no hassle of getting the home brew mixture just right which makes a difference with adhesion. Remove old graphics- clean residue on plastics with Sticker Off, wipe clean, clean your hands, spray Sticker On and apply graphics, move into place as you like, squeegee the spray out- let set for a couple of hours- (overnight is best) go ride!

Well, the transformation is finally done. I got my SM wheels mounted with tires and rotors and got them on the bike today. Just had to do a little customizing to one of the spacers and everything went together really well.

When I did this to my last 2 adventures, the steering geometery was a little weird and the forks had to be raised in the triples clamps quite a bit to make it feel right but this SE rides just perfectly as is with the 17's on it. I am very happy!

Silly question, but does your tank bag interfere with the tank's vent hose? The difference just struck me from picture 1 to picture last.

The tank bag DOES interfere with the tank vent on the safari tank. I haven'y worked out a solution for that yet, Good spotting though!

Brent, I also have the Safari and and tank bag. Solution for me was a 29 cent part from the hardware store. Just go get a little 90* plastic elbow, cut the vent host about 1" above the tank cap, insert elbow. Problem solved. I just pull the hose off the cap when I fuel up. Been like that for two years now and it's been flawless.

I am still however suspicious about too low front with 17/17. Would it make sense and is it possible to replace the rear spring by one that is 1" shorter?
