UK motorcycle trip April or May?

Hi all you denizens of the UK.

Is a week long motorcycle trip from London area up to John O'Groats doable in April or May, weatherwise?

All my time in the UK, prior, has been in London and was non motorcycle related.

Thanks!

Hi! I`ve lived in London for nearly three years, and I`ve seen snow about twice. And it doesn`t stay for long too :) So if you get a good set of waterproof gear - you`re good to go. I don`t know about north, but past April I don`t think you`ll run in to much trouble weather wise, apart from rain of course. It`s plenty of rain here, trust me on that To put it in one sentence - the trip is absolutely doable as long as you`ve got a warm, waterproof gear. But please double check with someone who lives up north.

That is what I am thinking, I don't mind rain so much as long as I bring gear. Ice and snow are the main concerns.

Thanks for taking the time to give your input!

The first 20 miles North from the shit-hole known as London are the worst of your worries...... watch out in Yorkshire, as they are real tight-arses, but feck-all compared to the jocks....they are Uber-mingebags.

You won't see any ice and snow in April or May.
April, however, is known for being rainy.

Thanks for the compliment, to the original posters question, the last few years up here in gods country hav'nt been to bad in April-May but be prepered for any weather, we are closer to the Artic circle than London.
